Yes, I went to Dr. Hutto in Atlanta, but there is one other in a town just west of Chicago run by a Dr. Best. Both Dr. Best and Dr. Hutto were recommended to me by a co-ordinator of TMS Clinical trials at Duke- but no one else was. Both are very experienced, and have sliding scales for the costs. Still, the costs can be considerable, as an initial course of treatment is usually three weeks.
The TMS brought me into remission from MDD, with no side effects at all. However, for me, the remission tends to last only about four months, so I go for booster sessions when I need to. It doesn't take too long, as they will give two a day (Dr. Hutto), and I believe Dr. Best gives three a day- usually about six are needed to get into remission again. If you are one of the people who responds well to TMS, you most likely would need maintenance- just so you know what you are getting in to if you decide to try it.
The best of luck to you!
