I still don't consider it sensitive. I agree, it's a statement of feelings, but stating certain feelings about a post can lead the poster to feel hurt.

I agree, if you start a thread and aren't interested in certain types of replies, you can make that explicit. For example, you can say you're not interested in hearing about the evils of cow's milk. Then I'd consider replies like that not to be supportive of you.

People who start other threads about cow's milk might, however, be interested in learning about its possible side effects.

Does that sound like a reasonable way to balance support and education?
