Everyone, Please follow site guidelines

Hygieia's Bowl is correct in that this is the proper place to ask for clarification on site guidelines or changes in site guidelines. Thank you for that excellent clarification.

If you have an issue with a specific post not being in accordance with site guidelines, you should use the notify administrators function, *and* not post anything on board about it. The purpose of the button is to do report it *instead* of posting about it on board.

Also, a bit of patience is needed at times. Deputies are quicker than Dr. Bob, but there are times when it still takes a while. This week I was tied up, and Racer was tied up, and 10derheart had to make up for both of us being unavailable in addition to her real life responsibilities. So patience, please. It may be difficult not to post anything when you're upset and Admin feels slow, but posting civilly does require a bit of patience. There are a list of suggestions in the FAQ about what to do when you're feeling upset, in addition to reporting them to Administration.

Finally, about the content of jokes. I don't recall what Dr. Bob's guidance is on this, and we've asked for clarification. When I get it, I'll post it if he doesn't post it himself. In general, emailing him directly will get to his attention faster than posting on Admin, although I'm sure there are exceptions. In the meantime, perhaps those who are posting the jokes could add an "Adult Content" warning, and those who read it and find that a warning maybe should have been posted, just post a simple, nonjudgmental "Adult Content in above post" similar to trigger warnings. It's not required, so it's not against the civility guidelines not to post one. Neither is it against the civility guidelines to post a civil trigger warning.
