Wouldn't that be true about all self report tests? Except maybe as a measure of change over time?

To tell the truth, I can't see why it isn't a problem with clinician administered ones too. I know I've gotten some pretty weird answers from standardized mood tests, because how you interpret the questions and the answers can vary widely between people or at least between myself and other people. Or even between myself on one day or another.

My sleep doctor always gives a standard sleepiness test each visit, and I always want to tell him not to take it too seriously.
