Different but same principle. Just giving others the same consideration as yourself. Not taking on a secondary role to your fellow thread participants. See Golden Rule in faq

I don't feel understood :-(

and so the reason you can't PBC yourself would be......

>There is no primary and secondary to it. Or if forced to label them, I would probably say posting as a Babbler was primary. That didn't change when I volunteered to help out here. But one role is not more important, valuable than the other. Neither takes precedence over the other, to me. Does one take precedence over the other to you?

I don't understand the question. Obviously your deputy role has more potential to damage me , my friends, or my community than your role as poster. I think your feelings about individual posters do influence your decisions as a deputy whether consciously or not. That's just human. Isn't that why you were asked to consider not deputying in threads you are participating in?

Why the need to excuse yourself from the same penalties you inflict on others?

Yes I do care. Thanks for your vote of confidence. Babble can be such a good thing but there have also been tragic outcomes because of the administrative policies. I don't think the community BELONGS to Bob, I think he's the landlord. I appreciate all that he does but the community belongs to US all of US. So I speak up although I am less and less open as are so many. I believe you care too but obviously we disagree about many things.
