One patient briefly stopped taking guanfacine due to a hypotensive episode and reported a return of cognitive deficits that abated with resumed guanfacine treatment.

Which is better for ADHD?

> I honestly did not find clonidine depressing, but just that it slows you down. I think because of the norepinephrine suppression, it also makes you achy and tired. But that is dose dependent.

Clonidine is notorious for producing a very real depressive state. A doctor gave my maternal grandmother clonidine for hypertension. She had no history of having a depressive mood disorder. Within a week of beginning clonidine, she became visibly depressed. She laid on the couch and watched Judge Judy all day long. She didn't pick up a book. Reading was her greatest joy. Fortunately, I was well aware of depression being a sequala of taking clonidine. Once she discontinued clonidine, her depression lifted within a few days.

Some see things as they are and ask why.
I dream of things that never were and ask why not.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.
