A doctor I was seeing for TMS did the test. Not a blood test but mouth swab(bucchal). They are common today but not when I had it done about 3/4 years ago. Ask your doc or google genetic test for depression. My results included all classifications of meds, not just psych meds. What it told me was that most of the psych meds would not work because of my liver metabolism/enzymes. Others have said the test did not help them but it did for me because MAOs are almost the only psych meds on the report that suggested a good result.
The test I have seen recently is called GeneSight I think. Mine was not the same test. Good luck with your treatment .
