Minocycline does several things that might reduce depression and negative symptoms of schizophrenia.1. Reduces inflammation by inhibiting the release of microglial pro-inflammatory cytokines.
2. Prevents neuron death by reducing glutamate release and overactivity.
3. Stimulates neuronal growth by increasing nerve growth factor (NGF).You might want to look for substances or drugs that do some of these things.
Have you tried N-acetylcysteine - NAC?
Does lamotrigine (Lamictal) cause you to become psychotic? Did your depression or negative symptoms improve just before the psychosis appeared?
