Follow-up parnate treatment

Posted by chrismeurer on October 2, 2018, at 17:34:35

Hello,

It has been almost one year since I started taking parnate. At first, I had huge blood pressure drops, but did not feel tired or had much difficult getting to sleep. After a few months, though, I started to feel extremelly exhausted. Also, I felt a mild discomfort in my legs that got progressively worse until I began sleep with my legs elevated. I was constantly feeling that there was not enough oxygen, this shortness of breath.

I wondered what was happening. After some research, I came across the information that parnate could actually decrease norepinephrine levels in the brain. Talking to my doctor, she agreed to add a low dose (20 mg) of nortriptyline to the 60 mg parnate I take daily. After one week, I feel much less tired. It's an interesting result, I think. I will give it a few more weeks until I can be sure the effect is permanent.

Just thought it would be nice to share this with you. I didn't come here as often as I did before. I posted a few times. Thank you for the support and knowledge you provide!
