Oh dear! Cat scratch disease causes very swollen lymph nodes near the site where you got scratched or bitten. For example, getting scratched on the arm would cause the lymph nodes (glands) in the armpit to become very large. Not all cats have the bacteria though.
Do you think doxycycline is something your doctor would prescribe for you?
