I found melatonin would put me too sleep earlier on when I was starting parnate, but when the parnate started to work, the melatonin would give me SERIOUS cognitive and other side effects the next day.

I don't remember the biochemistry behind it but melatonin is in the serotonin metabolism chain so it would make sense that there would be a cross reaction with a MAOI
