My risk of getting melanoma skin cancer is pretty high because of my history of getting sunburns when I was younger. NAC doesn't cause melanoma. However, if I do get melanoma, NAC could possibly make matters worse by allowing the cancer to spread (metastasize) faster as described by Phillipa.
