I think the risk of developing serotonin syndrome would be small. Doctors will sometimes use trazodone for sleep in people taking Parnate. To my knowledge, MAOIs are the most dangerous drugs when a serotonin reuptake inhibitor like trazodone is added. Trazodone is a moderate SRI at best, though. So, my guess is that it would be safe to combine Trazodone and lumateperone. It would be prudent to put together a list of symptoms of SS. Alternatives for improving sleep would include amitriptyline, Seroquel and Remeron. Weight-gain is a problem with these drugs, though.Can you describe in what ways your sleep is disturbed? Is it more difficult to fall asleep or, rather, to remain asleep?Some people find melatonin to be effective for both. It is usually taken one hour before going to sleep. What time do you wake up in the morning?
