In my experience, the answer to that question is to take the same amount of nortriptyline as you would without the Lexapro. This is 75-150 mg/day, depending on your rate of metabolism. There is no interaction between the two drugs. However, it does not hurt to use blood tests for levels of nortriptyline as a guide to dosing. The optimum range of 50-150 ng/mL.
