That's an excellent idea. I hadn't thought of that. However, these drugs would have to perform in locations other than the hippocampus and restricted areas of subcortical white matter.

I think the idea is to turn off or replace the damaging C4 gene or block the actions of its expressed protein. It might be some sort of autoimmune thing.
