I'm apparently still diagnosed Bipolar I, of the more severe persuasion. I take: 30mgs/Abilify, 1200mgs/Trileptal, 100mgs/Lamictal, and 400mgs/Wellbutrin. I also Orthomolecular, which seems to help.
My depression, which I think is the main problem, is slowly but surely improving w/ Wellbutrin. I don't wanna load up on more meds and more meds, but I was wondering...do you think increasing the Lamictal and dropping the Trileptal might help? What about increasing Lamictal, dropping Trileptal, and adding an additional AD?
I get the sense that Trileptal is more for agitation, anxiety, hostility, (hypo)mania. I tolerate it well and that's great, but...I think its time for my med combo to focus on more the low end of my moods, since I've been depressed forever. I'm also concerned about 2 anticonvulsants at the same time, long term.
Your thoughts?
