Passionflower. Valerian. Lemon Balm. Skull Cap. These are all effective in the "relax" and "sleep" areas. Usually combos of 2 or 3 work best and that's how experts usually do it. Different folks will like different stuff. For me I liked the Passion+LemonBalm combo the best. Valerian tasted nasty and I think hurt depression a bit. Skull cap had the most knock out power for me. Lemon balm at high dose actually completely stopped dead in its tracks a monster incredible anti-psychotic withdrawal on a day I needed to get up on a stage in front of people.

I think herbs like these should be first line treatments....the meds as alternative treatment. We got it backwards! :-)
