OCD induced by increased D2?

Posted by Chinaboy on October 8, 2014, at 8:49:28

I'd been taking Abilify at low dose for a while and found that it caused severe OCD-like symptoms to me! I suspect that the was due to its partial D2 agonist mechanism making D2 increased. Is my assumption correct?

And similarly meds with potential to increase D2 are likely to induce OCD? Like Amisulrpride at low dose, dopamine agonists such as selegiline, etc?

And from that, can I say meds blocking part of the D2 help reduce some of the OCD-like symptoms?

Welcome your input!
