I think what we are seeing is alone these gaba agents like gabpentin , gabitril , topamax , arent great alone for anxiety.
The trend i see and feel is the best cocktail is to find a good benzo,my view would be either ativan or klonopin since they seem to be most used and safe , then try adding a gaba agent such as gabatril to it,the gaba agents seem to have a synergy with benzos,and if this is the case,it allows you to use as little of the benzo needed , as well as make both meds work better.I know in a fair dose both klonopin and gabpentin work wonders for anxiety and even anger for me.Goodluck
