Most people have reported a tougher experience withdrawing from Cymbalta than from SSRIs. My Cymbalta dose was always low to begin with - between 10 - 30 mg. It was always very tough for me to drop more than 20% at a time but I'm probably more sensitive than the average bear.

I would probably advise against doing cold turkey. Options for reducing by smaller increments include:

1) opening up the capsules and eyeballing the dosage you need to cut.

2) get a lower dose compounded at a pharmacy that offers that (most major chains offer compounding services at one of their pharmacies in any given area). Your doc needs to write you a script for this though.

3) buy a cheap digital scale to weigh out the granules if you need to be more precise. They're a number available on Amazon. Here's the one I have and it works fairly accurately. Here's the one I have...

*Do NOT suspend the granules in liquid as this will damage the enteric coating needed to facilitate absorption into the bloodstream when in the GI tract.
