I'm sure there are bad ones out there. I've had a couple of mediocre ones. No bad ones though. I've been very happy with almost all psychiatric care I've received. I should also point out that, while in various inpatient and intensive outpatient programs, I have had excellent experiences with psychiatric nurses, social workers and counsellors. Not 100%, but certainly 90%.Why? What's your experience been? All we have to go on is our own experience. I've had more than my fair share of experience with mental health practitioners and it's been mostly good.
I get annoyed by the extreme negativity expressed about mental health practitioners on this board.
