If we take a look at clinical studies comparing amisulpride to competitors we would see that it is generally interpreted as being about the same efficacy potential as the others, with a slight edge over the others in terms of negative symptoms.
In the real world I don't know anyone else besides myself that has taken it, except for others here at pbabble, and I have not often seen it used specifically for schizophrenia. It is usually for depression, anhedonia, or social anxiety. Works good on those at low doses. In that sense I feel it has a significant advantage over the others. Close behind it would be zyprexa and abilify, imo, but amisulpride has the unique characteristic of targeting anhedonia specifically.
I've been on almost every psychiatric med, some from other parts of the world, and I have to say, amisulpride is one of the best.
