Real advice: Go ahead and start with 40mg. One of the selling points is that it is an effective therapeutic dose for many patients; therefore, no more titration is required. The PI does say for bipolar depression to start at 20mg., but this is very low and most patients require 40mg. Schizophrenics start at 40mg.-- definitely in the effective range for bipolar depression-- go ahead and start it in the effective range. That's what I did, and it worked.

I know earlier I talked about the fear I got, but I think now that it was caused by the discontinuation of Abilify with no taper.
