Nucynta is tapentadol, which is an opioid like all others. It's basically a new tramadol, but without the serotonergic component. It's indeed marketed as causing less tolerance, but I don't buy that for a second. It's an opioid, period. Including possibility of addiction. It only costs much more, of course.
