Effexor 150 neurotransmitters?

Posted by Sheilac on August 20, 2013, at 14:32:15

I'm still having panic attacks, but am sticking with Buspar. Thank goodness for Klonopin. I hate that Buspar is such a short acting drug. Makes me irritable when it wears off.

My doc mentioned an SNRI - Effexor. I tried it in the past at 75mg, but it bothered my bladder. I have irritable bladder (IC) and SSRIs cause my bladder pain, so Effexor didn't work out for me. She suggested starting at a higher dose of 150 xl.

Not sure about this. For now it's just something we talked about.

Is there any difference starting at 150mg Effexor? Less serotonin at that dose?

Too much serotonin kills my bladder and isn't worth the pain.

She told me to think about it.
