Some people take Remeron in dosages of 7.5 - 15.0 mg given at night. Others use amitriptyline. Personally, I use Ativan intermittently. If I were to need a sleep aid every night, I would probably take Seroquel 25 mg. I understand that you wish to be rid of Seroquel entirely, but might not 12.5 - 25.0 mg be useful? As you taper Seroquel, take note of the degree of residual daytime sedation that occurs. If it disappears at a lower dosage, perhaps you can simply stay there.

Just a thought.

Hi Scott,

My daughter is already having trouble sleeping at 50mg Seroquel, so we'll see how that progresses as we taper. (She may not even like how she feels on a lower dose of Seroquel, and may be sleeping better as she gets out and does more during the day, especially now that it's summer)

Thanks for the other ideas. So, Remeron can be used solely for insomnia?
