Perphenazine never helped me much except as a sleep aid, but then I'd have to deal with akathesia the next morning. But it's worth a try. Haldol did help (except for the akathesia, which I can handle but not if I have to teach because I lose my voice). So the old APs can work. Just keep the dose low. Good luck.
