The FDA approved Deep TMS just this week. I don't think a person would have to fail "all else" in order to qualify. When TMS was approved by the FDA in 2008, it was for treatment-resistant depression. This new Deep TMS is also for treatment-resistant depression. Maybe someone can weigh in on just how many antidepressants a person is supposed to fail before trying TMS.
