Cymbalta is FDA approved to treat musculoskeletal pain and (if my memory serves me correctly) also the pain associated with diabetic neuropathy. I don't think it's Rx'd to treat arthritis pain, but it could have off-label uses of which I'm not aware. Would a drug like Celebrex or another NSAID be used in your particular case?
