So far I haven't really felt too much from the Seroquel and I am wondering if I should have felt something already? I know having been on Zyprexa it immediately kicks in. Thanks for your thoughts,

I think it would be more enlightening to ask this question of a doctor who uses Seroquel regularly in the role of antidepressant. Seroquel shares some properties with Zyprexa, but it has at least one mechanism that Zyprexa does not. The major metabolite of Seroquel (norquetiapine) acts like an antidepressant in that it is a norepinephrine (NE) reuptake inhibitor. As is true of other NE antidepressants, there might be a lag-time before it begins to work. It might be appropriate to wait 3 - 4 weeks.

If you find Seroquel tolerable, I would be patient and wait a few weeks unless an experienced doctor tells you otherwise.
