I realize this is a very old thread and my MAOI is Emsam and not Nardil, but will post anyway maybe helping shed extra light. I concur with the above in that I feel much more depressed, low energy, and elevated anxiety levels when I consume bottled or canned beer of 5 or 6 bottles (more beer = worse after effects, of course) with my MAOI which is Emsam at 6mg. Also have had some bouts with mania when combining the two in large quantities (I strongly advise against that). The MAOI/alcohol relationship while not necessarily a life threatning interaction is certainly a very strange one. As such, I have also very sadly given up the alcohol part also as it isin't worth it.
