I think....

Just because it is a commonly accepted belief that fish oil is good for human health, that doesn't mean it is good for every single person. Disease, genetics and diet can influence whether there should be more of the fish oil fats or not.

It could be those fats have been lacking for so long that now the entire system freaks out a sufficient amount becomes available....needs time to adjust.

In studying lyme disease pathogenic organisms can interrupt the metabolic process of the oils, to where the end result is a moderately toxic substance rather than the desired fish oil metabolites.

if it were me I would lower the dose. I mean, I don't want to rule out a potentially helpful supplement because of an immediate adverse reaction. Such a reaction tells me....dose is too high to start with. Need much smaller doses and work higher gradually. Kind of hard to do with capsules, so you would probably have to buy the liquid form. And just for an off the wall example, let's say the bottle says take one tablespoon a day....then with the knowledge that agitation is likely....take 1/4 of a teaspoon instead. See how that goes. After a few days, maybe 1/2 teaspoon. See how that goes for a few days or couple weeks. And go from there. If you are still having troubling stuff from ultra low doses, then that is a pretty good clue your body does not want the stuff.
