One of Servier's most useful drugs is indapamide (Natrilix and Natrilix SR). It is particularly effective for sytolic hypertension in people over the age of 55, but is effective for most forms of hypertension. It is more effective for BP than traditional thiazide diuretics such as hydrochlorothiazide. It's interesting that indapamide turned out to be better than the 'me too' drug that it first appeared to be.
