hmmm...desperate to let them shock us even. how desperate is that for relief? so easy to judge when someone knows not of the pain somebody is in.
when i was teaching (art history) i could not understand how vincent van gogh (or anyone) could kill himself. i would read some of the beautiful letters he would right to his brother theo to my students. one line of his stood out; 'the sadness never ends.' i never understood that line until i got depression.
ps i wonder how ketamine and cocaine would mix? ;)
