Usually docs will add some lamictal or an AAP for BP depression. If youre on tegretol that changes the dosing a bit but your doc will know that.
Some docs will add tiny doses of antidepressants. If you went manic after such a long time on it, maybe you can tolerate a small amount?
When you say you went manic, what happened? Irritable and agitated, or full on manic like shopping sprees and crazy impossible business ideas that seem like genius?
Buspar doesnt work for a lot of folks. And the effects can be very subtle especially if youre accustomed to the action of a benzo.
