I think the problem is that if you've titrated up to a few hundred mg, and then are inconsistent with it, you put yourself at risk by, say, going off for several days, and then resuming at your usual dose of several hundred mg's. You'd have to start all over again to avoid triggering the dreaded rash :-) But it sounds like you'd need to start all over anyway, at something even smaller than the standard starter pack.
