What would you say is the frequency of occurrence of tardive dyskinisia with these two drugs? I can see using them as an acute intervention on a manic or schizoid psychosis. However, for chronic treatment, I find the atypicals to be cognitively cleaner, less sedating, and having a lower rate of EPS.

I would look at Navane (thiothixene) for chronic treatment if a first-generation neuroleptic is to be used.
