That is still toxic. Anything that has the potential to do damage is toxic. Just because it's not going to kill you tomorrow does not mean it's not bad for you or doing harm. More than 2 alcoholic beverages for most men is toxic.
I don't have a problem with being on a dose like that for maybe 4 to 6 months to treat an acute epicode. I do believe it is unnecessary in almost all cases to continue with such a dose if everything else is being done to improve well being, inluding using different medications, supplements, diet, exercise, therapy, group therapy, social activities, etc.
