Perhaps those symptoms indicate that you still need the med, rather than anything more sinister. If my sister stops using her asthma inhalar, all hell breaks loose - that doesnt mean that Symbicort has altered her lungs, it just means that using it controls her symptoms, and stopping it allows the symptoms to return. Probably the same thing here.
As the previosu poster said, if you do try and stop, taper off slowly.
