is it the medication that makes my hands shake

For the first time in life my hands are shaking. Very bad, very extreme shaking. it gets extreme when I'm doing stressful activity, so it is brought on by my nerves but it has never happened before. Is it medication? My hands are steady at times but other times such extreme shaking that it alarms people to see it on a otherwise healthy looking person.
