That doesn't sound like tardive dyskinesia to me. I think this term is being used too loosely - just like akathisia is. Caffeine makes my hands shake. This is unlikely to be tardive dyskinesia. It isn't even in the right part of the body. It is usually orofacial and more often irreversible upon discontinuation of the offending drug. The word "tardive" means latent or delayed. One must be on an offending drug for an extended period of time for the symptoms of TD to become observable.
