I was prescribed Propranolol a few years back for GAD and panic disorder. I found it mostly ineffective and didn't stop on it long. It just really did nothing for me. I don't think there's any problem stopping the drug and you can't build a tolerance to it as far as I'm aware. The side effects were fairly benign if I think right. I think it just made my hands and feet a little cold but nothing major.I wish you luck with it.
