Hi there,

My dad took Elavil for years for sleep and the doctor's took it away a little over a year ago and his sleep has suffered immensely. He said they don't want someone as old as him taking it (he's 76). I'm not sure I buy it. I think once you've taken it as long as you have or as he had it is hard to get the same sleep without it.

I'm sure someone else will come along and be able to help you out.

Good luck,

Alayna

Have taken paxil for 13 years. Is no longer working. My own diagnosis is depression. Have tried Lamictal, Wellbutrin and Now Zoloft all with the 10mg. paxil.
