My biggest problem is still anhedonia (loss of joy in activities) although it's getting a bit better. I'm told that Parnate can take up to 8-12 weeks to really kick in, though I'm just not sure about this ---

I spoke with my pharmacist and asked the question about how parnate works in regards to beneficial effects. Although some says it just "kicks in", meaning from one day to the next they all the sudden have no depressive symptoms. The pharmacist told me it was a slow build up. I myself am confused as well. Who knows. Keep taking it and expect for things to get better as the days/weeks go by.
