First I want to introduce myself as a new member and I am female for those who are curious.
I chose the name lamictal because after two years of a depression that has varied in intensity between dysthymia, deep suicidal depression and some incidences of euphoria lamictal has been a godsend to me. The depression and manic incidences have been brought under control. I now wake up with basically a cheerful mood and the manic like euphoria is gone.
So the depression and bipolar thing is mostly controlled by lamictal at 200 mg. Hated the slow titration but started to feel better at 100 mg.
But still suffering from adult add. Is that called adhd? Not sure. Still suffering from panic attacks which are awful. Had one in the car the other day and had to pull over.
So the p-doc and I were talking about adding klonopin. Won't see him for awhile. How about the add thing?
Please I beg the anti med people please I beg you don't try and ruin my thread. I'm not interested in your studies or rants!!
Please I'm just interested in med combose that have helped the above.
Yes I do exercise my Bu@# off and eat vegetarian and take lots of fish oil. Yes I have been doing that for years but that was not enough.
Personally I do understand that these mental health meds are just in their beginning but thank God for lamictal and the scientists who made that med.
So I suffer now from treated depression and bipolar. Untreated add, and those horrible panic attacks.
Sorry for rambling on but maybe that a symptom of add as I really have always had problems with concentration.
