You might actually experience an improvement in a few days. At 50mg, though, it usually doesn't last. Just be patient and raise the dosage as is recommended by the manufacturer. Hopefully, you will glean a more stable benefit at higher dosages. 200mg is usually given as the average effective dosage for Lamictal when treating bipolar disorder.
