This is how it works in england. If you have overdosed after months of wrong meds ,canceled appointment for no reason ,sometimes a couple of hours before your appointment, different psychiatrist,s every time you have been to be accessed , notes read for the first time each time you see a new doc.You have a %90 chance of being discharged from A an E an sent home in the same frame of mind you came to hospital with the blue lights flashing. Now they let you out front door to take a bus home, or to the river. whatever you feel like. I was kept in after a fight by my family as the could not cope anymore an new i would die without help.So up on the ward you go into you little room, left to your own device like a scarred rabbit.Strange sounds an people. A nurse looks into see you havent jumped through the window once every few hours. No meds to carm you down till you see the ward doctor who could turn up at anytime as he has 6 wards to see.He see you an writes down what meds you may need an moves on . The nurses are given your script an can only give what the doc has written an a set times of the day, that could be half an hour each way.Thats it you then veture in to corridor of madness at told to have a look around. As if your in a hotel an on holiday an feeling on top off the world. At night your left with a nurse an a security guy, who keeps watch while the nurse has a sleep in a side room.I never slept so i saw what i saw, at the end of each week you see your consutant for the first time. In the meeting room,he scan,s the note,s from the nurse,s an the ward doc,an then says you can leave or you stay. there is no real help only a wake up call to say your on your own, an you get out as soon as you can bluff it. to be brutally honest it can ruin your life .I was actually worse when i came out. an found help with a good gp
