I'd probably just pour half the contents down the toilet and shut the capsule back up again, it doesn't have to be precise. This way, you can take 25mg for a couple of days...and then increase to 50mg (if tolerated).

Yes, that's the main issue. You can start at 50mg if you'd like to.
