Risperdal, Lamictal, and memory problems

Posted by snuggles on July 26, 2010, at 16:56:27

Has anyone here encountered memory problems on either Risperdal or Lamictal? I'm on pretty light doses (1.5 and 175 mg respectively) but I think I might be feeling an effect.

A lot of times I'll be having a conversation and I'll be fully engaged in it, but if you asked me what we talked about I might remember one or two sentences. Also, if you asked me what I did yesterday it'd take me a while to think of it. I'm not sure if this is normal for me or for most people, but it's certainly annoying.

Also, it's hell when I try to read textbooks or technical papers. Today I was reading a paper on Markov decision problems. Three hours later, I'd forgotten what the paper was about. I also read a second paper, and *right after* I read the paper I could barely articulate its content. I'm not sure if I was like this before (I probably wasn't) but it's making me look like an idiot at work.

Thanks for any insights or opinions.
