M,

You are at a pretty important decision point, in my opinion. I take 60mg Nardil (and Lithium). For the first two months or so I had ALL the side effects in the book and it was awful. But, my suicidal thoughts diminished upon increasing from 45mg to 60mg. Eventually the side effects diminished virtually entirely. Depression was diminished to mild/dysthymic.

In your case it seems you have the confluence of side effects and only partial reduction of symptoms. If you think you can bear it for one more month to see if your side effects decrease and your depression improves give it a try. Perhaps a dose increase might needed, but that can aggravate side effects. From what I have read here on this board, you should give Nardil a little more time than the SSRIs to see how it works.

What does your doctor think?
